What we handle

What we check, in this order

1. What you sawThe message shown, the link opened, the file downloaded, when it happened; and whether anyone obtained a password, a code or access to your screen. What follows depends on it.
2. The machine is isolatedAt your home, the PC is taken off the network during the scan: data transfer stops and it can no longer reach your other devices. Remotely, the session is limited to this PC.
3. Your documentsWe check with you whether a backup exists, and we make one on a separate drive, without the programs, if the disk can be read. If files are encrypted, we tell you what can be recovered before going on.
4. The scanA full scan, then a manual check: startup programs, scheduled tasks, browser extensions, Windows accounts.
5. The removalWhat is found is removed, the PC restarts and the scan runs again, until the result is clean. If there is still doubt about the system, we suggest a reinstallation, with a quote.
6. The protectionWindows and the browser updated, an antivirus installed and active, a backup of your documents planned.
7. Your accountsFrom a clean device, we go through the passwords to change with you, starting with email and the bank, with two-factor authentication where it exists.

• An antivirus installed and active (any licence charged separately), Windows and the browser up to date.
• The list of accounts to secure.
• What happened, explained in plain words, and the signs to recognise next time.
• The rate stated in advance; you pay after successful completion.

At your home or remotely

Remotely, when the PC starts and you alone have access to it: you see the screen for the whole session. At your home, for a ransom demand, a locked PC or a suspicion that access has been set up without your knowledge. Travel, town by town: areas and travel.
