What we check, in this order

1. The exact symptomWhat appears on screen, and since when: after an update, an installation, a power cut. The error code, when there is one, guides everything that follows.
2. Your filesBefore touching the system, we check with you whether a backup of your documents and photos exists, and we make one if the disk can be read.
3. The disk and free spaceA failing or full disk causes errors that no Windows repair can fix. We read its condition (S.M.A.R.T.) and the space available.
4. The Windows logsEvent Viewer and the Windows Update history show what failed and when; Device Manager shows the drivers involved.
5. Repair without reinstallingRemoving the update or driver at fault, repairing the system files (SFC, DISM), Startup Repair. Your programs normally stay in place.
6. Reinstallation, if it is still the right courseYou are told first: what it resets, what gets put back and how much time to allow.
7. The final checkRestarts, updates, drivers, then the programs you use every day.

What you receive

• Once repaired: a Windows installation that starts, up to date, with its drivers.
• After a reinstallation: your backed-up files put back, and your programs reinstalled if you hold their licences.
• The cause of the problem and what was done, explained in plain words.
• The rate stated in advance; you pay after successful completion.

At your home or remotely

Remotely, when the PC starts and can reach the internet: you see the screen for the whole session. At your home, when Windows no longer starts or there is no connection. Travel, town by town: areas and travel.
